David Ho

Candice a piece created for David Ho's ghost series represents a darker inner beauty. This personally sparks my interests since it relates to an inner darkness I have. The Contrast between the face and the ribs reflects the innonence she is using to hide the corrupt feelings she may have just below her clothes. While the plain gray mesh colored background is left blank to keep the viewers eye on the girl and what she is trying to show. Finally the dirty ragged clothes may be depicting the hardships that the girl went through that made her the way she is.

David Ho also seems to have a darker side. After looking at many of his pieces you start to find a pattern of darkness and corrupt art. He uses extreme darks and extreme lights in many of his pieces which creates interest for me and probably many other viewers out there. The whole ghost series alone is enough to convince anyone that David Ho has had some kind of rough hardship or visually morbid background.
