Sherman

Red, red, and more red what more needs to be said about this piece. It’s bleeding feeling in a flow of red down the blanket and back up to her hair. The light on her shoulder makes her pop out of the background like a beacon for the eyes. While the light on here eyes keep the viewer locked into her emotion and how she is feeling. With her body centered and her legs raised it creates a great composition that fills up the whole page while at the same time, refraining from overwhelming the viewer.

The red in this picture brings up a lustful feeling while her eyes create an exposed, sympathetic, and innocent feeling. Almost as if someone just walked into the room on her and found her like that without her consent. The mood overwhelms and the red leads the viewer to wanting to see what happens next or what may have happened. Several of her photo reflect this feeling and over time I believe she may have perfected what she was going for.
