Web Page Ideas

I have many web pages I admire and have come very used to checking from time to time. This list includes
www.nin.com
www.deviantart.com
www.yahoo.com
www.worldofwarcraft.com
www.thottbot.com
the thing I find interesting about each of there sites is thier ability to be completely different yet at the same time easily browsed and viewed.
NIN's site has a more artist look that requires a little but more work to browse through however this site does not require as much site as the story book web page fable.com
deviantart makes browseing art easy and organized by catergory which helps the viewer find what he wants when he needs it. unlike some sites that require hours of browsing to find the image you want.
yahoo supplies the viewer with the ability to ajdust their main page to better fit their needs. These options make daily tasks like checking movie times simple.
however I feel like I am ill educated on the software I am going to be using. These restricts me from making or deciding on what i want my web page to contian and how to format it.

Visual analogies

Visual Analogy is a representation of something that is recognizable by the common public. Symbolism depicted in a form of art that substitutes an image for either a word meaning or another image. Also Visual analogies can be used to create the object that the artist is trying to depict in an abstract way. For example a females long silky hair could be depicted by spaghetti noodles since they have the same long shiny texture even though they are sticky and soft and heavier then hair normally would be.Another example of this is the lips which have been traded out for a lushish strawberry. The idea of lips is still the same but a strawberry is used instead.

The next image is a little complex to understand but that allows the viewer to create his own visual analogy of what he think it might be. All of these images have been collected off of deviantart.com by various artists who keep there identities to themselves by using surnames. However according to this artists comments the brown aura comming out of the body is sopposed to be the humans soul.

This image represents life and making a break in the plans that life may have already written for us. A tree best illustrates the stages and ages of life with rings for each year and with a fence to gap these years at almost feels as if the tree escaped its plans.

The classical sexual representation of boobs using melons. This is practically a play on words.

And my favorite of all the classic don't get to close to the water or you'll drown scenario represented by ants getting to close to honey and becoming stuck stealing their life with the simple act of curiosity or stupidity.

What I want

Gothic, plentification. Enough spikes to please a pin cushion and enough darkness to dampen even the brightest of moods. Strange Love is one of my favorite art peices from an art site called deviantart. If you want to summarize my goals, my beliefs, and my style this picture hits the spot. Its the US trying to reach Iraq with a flower. Batman trying to make two face smile with a simple reach. God trying to make the devil love with a field of flowers. This style of light in the dark is what the world needs.

What you want.

I choose what best represented and digitally illustrated my feelings in both the book and web. Big Bird by Miroslaw Rogala seemed to wrap everything up in a never ending infinite. This picture was the most digitally interesting and satisfying to me thanks to the facts that it didnt have a stingy out of date look to it and becuase it was interesting to look at. Also the representation of a dark force (the crow) watching over the entire earth never fails to adhear my attention
